Dear Friends in Christ,

Bishop Morales just called me to inform me that Fr. James (Jim) Marshall passed away about 10 minutes ago. He will be greatly missed by so many. He was an oblate of St. Benedicts Abbey in Bartonville, having lived at the abbey for a period to time as its guest master and was long time convener for Forward in Faith.

Fr. Jim has served our diocese in so many different positions within our diocese, some of which were at Holy Trinity Geneseo, St. Francis Dunlap, St. John’s Henry, St. Jude’s Princeton and most recently St. Marks Silvis. He was also providing Mass at his place of residence, when he was able too.

Additional information concerning his funeral services will be provided as soon as possible.
