FiFNA President Invitation to Holy Land Pilgrimage

Bishop Keith Ackerman has invited members of Forward in Faith and friends to join him and his wife, Joann, on their 10th tour of the Holy Land, October 19-30, 2010. Bishop Ackerman and Joann are well acquainted with the Armenians, and have many friendships with  natives of the  Holy Land. “I’ll introduce you to many of them as we’re visiting the places, recalliBishop Ackerman leading worship in Holy Landng the stories, and praying at  the  birth place of our religion” added the Bishop.

Walking and seeing the places where Jesus and the other heroes of the Bible carried out the plan of salvation history helps bring new life to these stories of our faith and belief. “As Anglicans we are sacramental and this is true of these outward and visible places," said Bishop Ackerman. This is the land of the Holy One; it is beautiful to the eye, and captures the taste, you hear waters of the Jordan and Galilee, and even the aroma of the birth place of Christianity.” His wife added, “we enjoy sharing this experience with our friends; it  is  spiritually uplifting, assist s  in our biblical understanding, and we just have a wonderful time.”

Added bonus for our pilgrims is the side trip to Cairo, Egypt. All participants will be given a copy of Traveling to the Holy Land to help in our preparations, and a Pilgrim’s Manual for our worship along our journey.

The Pilgrimage is limited to 30 people. For more information see the attached brochure. You are welcome to get more details from Joann Ackerman (dovehaven2@verizon.net or 817-479-6831) or Economy Travel and Tours (Mr. Kort toll free 800-458-7636).
